The King Alfred Leisure Centre is pleased to announce its plan to develop a new gym which is scheduled to open in the New Year. The gym is being built in the old cafe area and will be fitted out with brand new state of the art Life Fitness equipment. The new equipment includes: 6 treadmills 5 cross trainers 4 upright bikes 3 recumbent bikes 3 stair climbers 4 Concept 2 rowers free weights and 17 new pieces of resistance training equipment As well as a large gym the area will also include a refurbished spinning room and new male and female changing, toilet and shower areas. A new modern, efficient, heating, ventilation and cooling system is also being installed along with a complete audio visual system. You will be able to enjoy your exercise whilst looking out at the pool, watching the sun set over the sea, watching your favourite programme on the integrated TV or listening to you MP3. Work has already started and we hope to bring all our members updates as the weeks pass by. We are all very excited and hope you will be too, especially as we are not increasing our current direct debit membership packages in January!
